CapCut Android compatibility

Whether a given CapCut version runs on your device depends on that version's requirements and your hardware. We do not state a minimum Android version because it changes between releases.

What affects compatibility

  • Android version: each app release declares a minimum supported version.
  • Processor architecture: most current phones use 64-bit ARM; very old devices may not be supported.
  • Memory and storage: editing high-resolution video needs free RAM and storage space.
  • Region: the app may not be offered in every country's store.

Check your device

  1. Open Settings → About phone to see your Android version.
  2. Check free storage under Settings → Storage.
  3. Look at the official store listing, which shows whether your device is compatible.

If it does not run well

  • Close other apps and restart the device.
  • Edit at a lower preview resolution.
  • Free up storage space.
  • Update Android system software if an update is offered.
